Project Description:
The Innovation Complex "Sastobe" is a large-scale chemical production facility under construction in the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan. The plant is designed to produce:
• Caustic Soda: 100,000 tons per year
• Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC): 120,000 tons per year
• Calcium Carbide: 180,000 tons per year
• High-Quality Cement and Lime: Essential for copper production, a key requirement for enterprises like Kazakhmys and other industries in Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, and Russia .
The project aims to reduce Kazakhstan's reliance on imports for these essential chemical products and support the domestic manufacturing sector.
Current Status:
The construction of the Innovation Complex "Sastobe" is underway, with the first phase of the plant expected to be operational by 2025, and the second phase planned for completion in 2026. The plant will focus on producing caustic soda, PVC, calcium carbide, and other key chemical products for domestic consumption and export.
