Freedom Cloud Data Center – Alatau Technopark

Project Description

The Freedom Cloud Data Center is a significant infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing Kazakhstan's digital capabilities. Located in the Alatau Technopark near Almaty, the facility is designed to bolster the nation's technological sovereignty and attract global IT enterprises. It will feature 480 server racks, each supporting up to 15 kW, with a total IT capacity of 7.2 MW and overall power consumption of 13 MW. The project aligns with Kazakhstan's strategy to become a pivotal digital hub connecting Europe and Asia.

Construction commenced on April 18, 2025. The project is progressing in two phases, with the first phase currently underway.
