Project Description:
The Ertis Hydrometallurgical Plant is a state-of-the-art pressure oxidation (POX) facility under development by Solidcore Resources plc (formerly Polymetal International). Located within the Pavlodar Special Economic Zone in Kazakhstan, the plant is designed to process refractory gold concentrates, which make up over 80% of the company’s mineral reserves.
The Ertis POX facility will utilize cutting-edge processing technologies to produce high-purity Dore bars containing up to 98% gold. The project plays a strategic role in Solidcore’s vertical integration efforts, aiming to reduce reliance on third-party processing, increase operational efficiency, and enhance value retention within Kazakhstan.
Once operational, Ertis POX will be among the most advanced gold concentrate processing plants in Central Asia and will be the first of its kind at this scale in Kazakhstan. The facility is designed to support long-term sustainable operations in line with international environmental and safety standards.

As of April 2025, the project has received initial construction permits, and preparatory work is underway. The delivery of the autoclave is scheduled, with full-scale construction expected to commence in the second half of 2025.
