UBM Group Feed and Premix Production Expansion in Kazakhstan​

Project Description:

UBM Group, a Hungarian company, is investing in Kazakhstan's agricultural sector by constructing four feed mills and one premix plant. The project aims to reduce the country's dependence on imported animal feed and premixes, thereby strengthening its domestic livestock industry. The facilities will utilize locally sourced grains to produce high-quality feed for livestock, which will help improve the overall quality and sustainability of animal farming in Kazakhstan.

The project includes:

  1. Three feed mills located in Kostanay, Akmola, and Turkestan regions. These mills will produce animal feed tailored to the needs of Kazakhstan’s diverse livestock farming sector, including poultry, cattle, and other animals.

  2. One premix plant located in Almaty region, designed to produce premixes, which are essential for improving the quality of animal feed by adding vitamins, minerals, and other additives.

The total production capacity of the plants is projected to be 300,000 tons of animal feed and 48,000 tons of premixes per year. Additionally, the facilities will include a laboratory for quality control and a training center to develop local expertise in feed production and animal nutrition. The integration of these components aims to create a more self-sufficient and advanced agricultural sector in Kazakhstan.

Current Status:

Land acquisition and preparation are underway in the regions where the plants will be built. The company is working closely with the Kazakh government to finalize the sites for construction and ensure all regulatory approvals are in place. The company is also collaborating with the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture to ensure that the project aligns with national strategies for agricultural development and food security.
