Akkuduk Gas Exploration Project

Project Description:The Akkuduk Gas Exploration Project is a collaborative initiative between Kazakhstan's national gas operator, QazaqGaz, and the private entity KOR Oil Company. Situated in the Mangystau region, the Akkuduk site is a well-explored geological block with confirmed gas reserves. The project aims to accelerate geological exploration and development in line with the President's directive to expand the nation's gas resource base. Key activities include conducting seismic surveys and drilling exploratory wells to assess the site's potential fully. Infrastructure development is also a focal point to support the exploration and eventual production phases. This partnership exemplifies a strategic public-private collaboration to bolster Kazakhstan's energy sector.

Current Status:Preparatory phase completed; drilling of the first exploratory well scheduled for June 2025.

End Date:To be determined based on exploration outcomes and development plans.
