Project Name: Ceramic Item Production Plant in Karaganda

Project Description: The project involves constructing a plant in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, to produce 1 million square meters of ceramic brick tiles annually. At full design capacity in 2027, 60% of the products are intended for domestic sales, while the remainder will be exported to Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Current Status: As of June 5, 2023, the project initiator has received license No. 2034-EL to explore common minerals (clay) for six years, with an option to extend. Efforts are ongoing to obtain licenses to produce clay at the Saransk field, site No. 1 (18 km from the plant) in Karaganda Oblast, and the Tankeris field (270 km from the plant) in Akmola Oblast. invest.gov.kz
