The Zhanazhol Urea Production Project is a major initiative to strengthen Kazakhstan’s fertilizer production and reduce reliance on imports. Located in the Mugalzhar district of Aktobe region, the project will use 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually to produce 1.2 million tons of urea — meeting domestic demand and enabling exports to China, Central Asia, and Europe.
