Project Description
The project involves constructing a large‑scale mining and metallurgical facility at the Syrymbet deposit in the Aiyrtau (Айыртау) District of the North Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan. The facility is designed to exploit one of the world’s largest undeveloped tin (Sn)‑rich polymetallic deposits, with tin as the major component and significant by‑products including copper, tungsten and fluorite. The plant will include an open‑pit mine, ore processing / concentration plant and a metallurgical refinery, thus providing full‑cycle production of tin and associated metals in Kazakhstan, a country previously fully dependent on imports of tin. The project aims to integrate Kazakhstan into the global supply chain for strategic raw materials, particularly for electronics, batteries and renewable energy applications. With estimated reserves of 286,000 tonnes of tin (JORC) according to recent company data, the scale of operations is significant and unique in the region. The facility is expected to bring employment, local economic development and create a new front in tin output for Central Asia.

The project is considered the largest undeveloped tin deposit in the world (according to the International Tin Association data) with in‑situ resource of 371 kt of tin from 2018 JORC estimate.
The tin market is highly concentrated in China (processing 98% of global output) and Kazakhstan’s entry is strategically important.
The deposit licence covers more than 10 km² and access road and railway logistics are under development (rail siding noted ~30 km away).
Local content and job creation: ~600 to 800 jobs estimated; cooperation with local educational institutions underway. Solidcore
Feasibility work: Metallurgical studies, open‑pit suitability, resource validation drilling (3 km of drilling completed in 2024) have been done.
