SANY Renewable Energy is building a wind turbine components manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan’s Zhambyl Region in partnership with the Samruk-Kazyna sovereign wealth fund. The plant will produce nacelles, hubs, towers, and other key components to supply Kazakhstan's growing wind energy sector. With an investment of $114 million, the project is expected to generate over 300 direct jobs and support the localization of renewable energy technologies. Located in the “Zhibek Zholy” Special Economic Zone, the facility will serve as a regional hub for the manufacturing and export of turbine components. SANY also plans to open an R&D center to drive innovation and adapt technologies to local conditions. The plant is designed as a smart, energy-efficient facility aligned with Kazakhstan’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.

The plant will achieve at least 30% localization and support Kazakhstan’s renewable energy transition. It will also include an R&D center for product development and adaptation to local environments. The factory is designed with energy-efficient, green manufacturing principles and aims to reduce dependence on imported wind components, while positioning Kazakhstan as a regional wind energy manufacturing hub.
