PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Trans-Caspian Fiber Optic Cable Project is a strategic infrastructure initiative aimed at constructing a 380 km submarine fiber-optic cable line across the Caspian Sea, connecting Sumgait in Azerbaijan to Aktau in Kazakhstan. Caspinet B.V. was created by Kazakhtelecom JSC (Kazakhstan 50%) AzerTelecom LLC (Azerbaijan 50%) to own and finance the Trans-Caspian submarine cable infrastructure.
The company manages project development, financing, contracting, and long-term ownership of the cable asset.\CaspiLink B.V founded by AzerTelecom (part of NEQSOL Holding). CaspiLink acts as the international commercial operator of the Digital Silk Way corridor and will market and sell bandwidth capacity on the Trans-Caspian cable.
The project is a critical part of the "Digital Silk Way" initiative, aiming to create a robust digital infrastructure corridor between Europe and Asia.
