PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project is a planned new Technical College in Semey, Abai Region, announced by Akim Berik Uali at the regional August education conference on 14 August 2026. The college is intended to support the development of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in the region. The plant will prevent the flaring of over 600,000 cubic meters of ferroalloy gas annually.
It is part of ERG’s broader push toward environmental modernization, including wind power development in Khromtau.
