The project involves constructing a high‑tech chemical plant to produce 25,000 tonnes per year of sodium cyanide (NaCN), a critical reagent for the gold-mining industry. The plant aims to replace imports and strengthen Kazakhstan’s technological and economic independence in chemical production. It uses licensed technology from Draslovka, a leading international producer of cyanide products, and is engineered by Glatt Ingenieurtechnik GmbH, ensuring modern safety, environmental, and process standards. The facility includes advanced closed-loop water recycling and gas neutralization systems to minimize environmental impact. Production is intended both for Altynalmas Reagents’ own gold-mining operations and for export to neighboring Central Asian markets. The project contributes to the national strategy of import substitution, development of chemical processing capabilities, and creation of skilled jobs.

Ualikhan Atageldiyev is a Kazakhstani entrepreneur and director of Altyn Engineering in Almaty, specializing in geological exploration, and Altynalmas Reagents in the Jambyl Region, producing chemical products. He was officially registered as a company-affiliated person in December 2021. There is a high likelihood that he is also connected to AAEngineering through corporate or operational links.
