The project involves the construction of a large-scale logistics complex as part of the integrated polyethylene plant being developed by Silleno LLP in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan. The facility will serve as a critical infrastructure component designed to manage the handling, packaging, storage, and distribution of polyethylene pellets produced by the plant. The complex is engineered to process up to 1.25 million tonnes of polyethylene annually, aligning with the plant’s full production capacity. It will include 11 interconnected facilities such as storage silos, a packaging and palletizing unit, finished goods warehouses, and a container terminal. The project incorporates multimodal logistics capabilities, enabling distribution via both rail and road transport to domestic and export markets. Advanced digital systems will be implemented to automate logistics operations and improve efficiency. The logistics complex is expected to become one of the largest of its kind in Kazakhstan’s oil and gas and petrochemical sector. Engineering, procurement, and construction responsibilities have been assigned under an EPC contract to Karl Schmidt Spedition GmbH & Co. KG. The facility will support continuous plant operations and ensure efficient outbound supply chain management. Overall, the project represents a key element in Kazakhstan’s strategy to develop downstream petrochemical infrastructure.
