PROJECT DESCRIPTION
"Silleno" Polyethylene Plant Construction Project is a strategic initiative aimed at developing Kazakhstan’s petrochemical sector by creating domestic production capacity for polyethylene, which is currently fully imported. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 1.25 million tons, with 20–24% supplied to the domestic market and the remainder exported. Feedstock Supply: Ethane feedstock will be extracted at the KMG Gas Separation Complex from gas supplied by Tengizchevroil and transported to the plant via a dedicated pipeline constructed by KMG.
Economic Impact: The project is expected to contribute to Kazakhstan's GDP growth by 1.2%, create approximately 8,000 jobs during construction, and provide 800 permanent positions upon commencement of operations.
