Project Description
The Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field, located in the Bayterek District of West Kazakhstan Region, was discovered in 2008. The field is being developed by a joint venture comprising KazMunayGas (50%), MOL Caspian Oil and Gas Plc (27.5%), and First International Oil Corporation (22.5%), a subsidiary of Sinopec. The development aims to extract and process significant reserves of natural gas and condensate to meet domestic energy demands and contribute to regional economic growth. As of December 21, 2023, the field has commenced commercial production. In 2024, production reached 301 million cubic meters of natural gas and 222 thousand tons of condensate. Plans are underway to implement Phase 2 of the project, aiming to increase annual production capacity.
