Project Description
Construction of a new generation electrometallurgical plant is being implemented by Railways Systems KZ LLP, a leading member of Kazakhstan's railway engineering cluster. The enterprise will be located on an area of 100 hectares. Total investments will amount to about 500 billion tenge, capacity - 1 million tons of steel per year. The launch of the plant will create over 1,000 jobs. Production will be oriented both to the domestic market and export: up to 40% of production is planned to be supplied to the CIS countries and the European Union. The plant will provide high quality steel products to RWS KZ cluster enterprises and other Kazakhstani manufacturers of solid rolled wheels and railroad rails.
