The Orzax project involves constructing a greenfield food supplements manufacturing facility in the Turkistan Region of Kazakhstan. It is backed by a €25 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and represents the first international production base for Orzax outside Turkey, established through its local subsidiary, Orzax Central Asia LLP. Total estimated project cost is €35 million. The facility will produce certified high-quality food supplements for markets in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and Asia. By localizing production, the project aims to reduce Kazakhstan’s dependence on imported nutritional supplements and promote domestic manufacturing capacity. It is expected to create approximately 500 direct jobs and contribute to workforce development through the adoption of international production standards (GMP). The plant will be located within the TURAN Special Economic Zone, benefiting from preferential investment conditions. Orzax plans to implement advanced research and development processes in the facility to strengthen its export potential. The project aligns with Kazakhstan’s strategy for economic diversification and development of higher value-added industries. Environmental and social standards will be observed in accordance with EBRD requirements. The facility is anticipated to significantly enhance Kazakhstan’s food supplements production and export capabilities.
