The project involves the construction of a large-scale oilseed processing and vegetable oil extraction plant in the North Kazakhstan Region. The facility will be located within the Qyzyljar Special Economic Zone in the city of Petropavlovsk. The plant is designed to process oilseed crops such as sunflower, rapeseed, and flaxseed, producing refined vegetable oils and by-products including oilseed meal used in animal feed. The processing capacity is planned to reach approximately 1,500 tons of raw materials per day, with an annual production capacity of up to 450,000 tons of finished products. The project is intended to strengthen Kazakhstan’s agricultural processing industry and increase the value-added export of oilseed products. The North Kazakhstan region was selected due to its strong agricultural base, particularly in sunflower, rapeseed, and flax cultivation. The project will also support regional economic development by creating jobs and expanding industrial capacity in the special economic zone. Once operational, the facility is expected to become one of the largest vegetable oil processing plants in Central Asia. The investment is part of the broader strategy of the Turkish agro-industrial holding to expand its international processing operations.
