BION is being prepared together with another BI Group business-space project in Almaty — NEXPO Business. Forbes Kazakhstan reported that BI Group presented both projects at the same event in June 2026, with a combined area of more than 200,000 m²; however, the two projects have different positioning and locations. BION is a premium Class A+ business ecosystem on Al-Farabi Avenue, while NEXPO Business is planned as a Class B+ business project on the Kuldzhinsky Trakt in Almaty’s eastern polycentric development area. NEXPO Business is planned near Aport Mall East, around five minutes from the airport, and is intended to support the growth of the eastern business district of Almaty. Forbes describes NEXPO Business as including offices, a retail promenade, and a hotel component under a “6-star service” concept.
