Project Description
The project involves the construction of an industrial facility for the production of mineral wool thermal insulation materials in the East Kazakhstan Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The plant is planned as a modern manufacturing complex producing insulation boards made from mineral fibers derived from gabbro-diabase rock. These materials are widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial construction for thermal and acoustic insulation. The production process will include melting raw rock materials in a furnace, fiberizing the melt using centrifugal equipment, forming fiber mats, and curing them in polymerization chambers before cutting and packaging. The facility will include a main production building, raw material storage, finished product warehouses, a boiler house, vehicle maintenance areas, repair workshops, and auxiliary industrial infrastructure. Raw materials such as gabbro-diabase, dolomite flux, and coke fuel will be delivered by road and rail and processed through automated conveyor and dosing systems. The project is designed to produce mineral wool boards with different densities and thicknesses suitable for building insulation and sandwich panel manufacturing. Production waste will be partially recycled within the process through waste return systems. The plant is expected to strengthen the regional construction materials sector and reduce dependence on imported insulation products. Environmental procedures, including an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), have been conducted as part of the project approval process.
