The project is being implemented under a memorandum of understanding signed during a high-level Kazakhstan–Japan investment dialogue, reinforcing bilateral industrial cooperation.
The facility is designed to operate as an officially authorized Komatsu rebuild center, integrated into Komatsu’s global after-sales and component lifecycle network.
The project includes transfer of OEM technical standards, tooling requirements, and quality control procedures aligned with Komatsu global rebuild protocols.
A significant focus is placed on local workforce development, including training of Kazakh engineers and technicians to international OEM standards.
Upon commissioning, the facility will serve not only Kazakhstan but also neighboring Central Asian markets, positioning Astana as a regional service hub.
