PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project aims to establish Kazakhstan’s first industrial facility for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). On 23 July 2026, KazMunayGas-Aero LLP, KazFoodProducts LLP and Kellogg Brown & Root LLC signed agreements advancing the project to the process-design stage. The agreements cover preparation of a Process Design Package (PDP) and licensing of KBR’s PURESAF℠ technology. PURESAF incorporates an Alcohol-to-Jet process that converts alcohol-based feedstocks, including bioethanol, into aviation fuel.
