PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project involves the development of a new international cargo and passenger airport within the Khorgos–Eastern Gate Special Economic Zone in Zhetysu Region, Kazakhstan, close to the Chinese border. It is being developed as a three-phase multimodal aviation and logistics hub integrating air, rail and road transport under the Air–Rail–Auto–Air concept.
