K-Park is a cultural and business complex combined with a Korean-themed public park planned as the first anchor investment project in the new smart city of Alatau in the Almaty Region of Kazakhstan. The project occupies approximately 10 hectares within the “Golden District,” an area designated for culture, education, and creative industries. It is designed to integrate Korean cultural heritage with modern urban development and public leisure infrastructure. The park will include ethnocultural zones, museums, exhibition halls, a conference center, and offices for the Association of Koreans in Kazakhstan. Planned visitor infrastructure also includes a 5,000-seat amphitheater, cafes, sports and children’s playgrounds, and an interactive AI museum. The concept emphasizes harmony with the surrounding landscape and large green areas, with approximately 40,000 m² dedicated to landscaping. The project commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Korean diaspora (Koryo-saram) settlement in Kazakhstan, scheduled for 2027. It is expected to become a landmark public space and a hub for cultural exchange and business cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea. The development is intended to attract tourism, cultural events, and investment into the emerging Alatau City. The project also symbolizes the start of the broader Alatau City development initiative.
