Project Description
This project involves the planned construction of Kazakhstan’s first modern aluminium automotive wheel manufacturing plant with a full production cycle. The facility is intended to localize the production of aluminium wheels, a component that is currently 100% imported into Kazakhstan. The project is being developed as a strategic joint initiative combining Kazakh industrial capacity, U.S. engineering expertise, and South Korean manufacturing know-how. Advanced American and Korean technologies are expected to be implemented across casting, machining, finishing, and quality control processes. The plant is designed to supply the domestic automotive market and potentially export to regional markets. Planned annual capacity is up to one million aluminium wheels. The project is positioned as a key step in deepening Kazakhstan’s automotive supply chain. It aligns with the government’s broader industrial diversification and localization agenda. The facility is expected to create approximately 500 skilled manufacturing and engineering jobs.
