PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Construction of the Shokpar-Gagarinskoye mining and metallurgical plant, which will be located in the foothill area near the village of Sogandy, has begun in the Kordai district of the Zhambyl region. The governor of the region and domestic investors took part in the launch ceremony. The implementation of the project has become part of the work to fulfill the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev aimed at developing the manufacturing industry and strengthening investment cooperation. The main goal is to attract capital and create favorable conditions for large, medium and small investors.
Speaking at the construction start ceremony, Governor of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev stressed that such initiatives serve as an engine of socio-economic growth. According to him, the opening of each new production facility is not just an economic indicator, but a concrete opportunity for residents of the region to get stable work, income and confidence in the future.
According to Semyon Khan, director of Shokpar-Gagarinskoye LLP, the company will use a unique technology that is capable of processing any polymetallic ore.
Signing of Additional Agreement No. 1 dated July 27, 2017 to Loan Agreement No. 6 dated March 6, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement), which is a transaction in which JSC NGK Tau-Ken Samruk has an interest.
On July 27, 2017, NGK Tau-Ken Samruk JSC and Shokpar-Gagarinskoye LLP signed Additional Agreement No. 3 to the Agreement. The sole shareholder of Shokpar-Gagarinskoye LLP is JSC NGK Tau-Ken Samruk.
Supplementary Agreement No. 1 to the Agreement between JSC NGK Tau-Ken Samruk and LLP Shokpar-Gagarinskoye was approved by the Decision of the Board of JSC Tau-Ken Samruk dated July 26, 2017 (Protocol No. 43-17)
