Project Description
The Development Bank of Kazakhstan (DBK) and Qazaq Global Food JV LLP have signed a credit line agreement to implement an investment project for the construction of a fruit and vegetable processing plant. The new facility will specialize in the production of concentrated fruit juices as well as fruit and vegetable purees, and will be equipped with modern infrastructure for storage, sorting, and packaging of produce. The plant is planned to be built in the Yenbekshikazakh district of the Almaty region.
According to DBK’s press service, the total cost of the project amounts to KZT 9.5 billion. The plant is expected to process up to 70,000 tons of fruits and vegetables annually, producing up to 6,150 tons of concentrated juice and 6,700 tons of fruit and vegetable pureeseach year. The project will also create 96 permanent jobs, contributing to the development of the agro-industrial complex and strengthening the region’s export potential.
