Project Description
Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov got acquainted with the progress of the project during his working trip to the Alginsky district. The cement plant of Aktobe Cem LLP, according to the head of the region, will become an important link in strengthening cooperation between Aktobe region and China. The plant is being jointly implemented by Aktobe region and one of the largest cement companies in the world — West China Cement. Construction is underway on the territory of the Alginsky district. The company will be able to produce up to 2 million tons of cement per year. The total cost of the project is 120 billion tenge. The construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026. At the moment, about 1,000 workers have been involved in the implementation of the project. Work is currently underway to lay engineering networks and build a dormitory for employees. After the launch of the plant, 500 permanent jobs will be created.

The commissioning of such a plant will provide an opportunity to create new jobs and significantly increase the industrial potential of the region. In his Message, the Head of State set tasks for deep processing of raw materials and import substitution. The implementation of this project will reduce dependence on cement imports and provide the domestic market with construction materials.
