Project Description
The second line of the Beineu–Bozoy–Shymkent (BBS) gas pipeline is a strategic infrastructure project aimed at enhancing Kazakhstan's gas transmission capacity. The pipeline will span approximately 1,449 kilometers, traversing the Mangystau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, and Turkistan regions. With a planned diameter of 1,067 mm, the pipeline is designed to increase the annual gas transmission capacity from the current 15 billion cubic meters (bcm) to 30 bcm. This expansion will bolster domestic gas supply, particularly to the southern regions, and enhance export potential to China via the Central Asia–China Gas Pipeline network.
