Project Description

The AMP‑Yuzhnyi project is an ambitious meat processing plant initiative led by Kazakhstan’s AITAS Holding in partnership with the city administration of Shymkent. It aims to build a highly automated facility focused on the deep processing of meat products, especially sausage and ready‑made meat items, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of finished products. The plant is intended to be the largest of its kind in Central Asia and supports Kazakhstan’s strategic objectives to strengthen food security, expand export potential, and deepen agricultural value chains. The project will be built in two phases, each with a production line capable of 25,000 tons per year, with the entire facility expected to reach full operational capacity by 2033. The initiative is aligned with modern ESG standards, incorporating industrial technologies meant to improve sustainability and operational efficiency. By creating over 500 new jobs, it is expected to have a significant socio‑economic impact in the region, including skills development through collaboration with educational institutions and local workforce. The facility’s integration into the “Bozaryk” industrial zone is a key factor in its logistical planning, offering infrastructure advantages and room for expansion. The project reflects AITAS Holding’s broader strategy to transform into a comprehensive food company, building on its extensive experience in poultry production and meat processing.
