PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project involves the construction of Kazakhstan’s first alkylate production plant in Pavlodar region, based on a butane-butylene fraction. Strategic Importance: This is one of the first projects of its kind in Kazakhstan, playing a key role in the country’s goal to boost its petrochemical industry and reduce reliance on fuel imports.
Local Impact: The project is expected to create over 500 jobs during construction and about 125 permanent positions once operational, boosting the local economy of Pavlodar region.
According to Intertrans C.A. is constructing the plant and has signed a credit line agreement with the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. The company is owned by Arailym Khamitova and Prime Petrochemicals Ltd., which in turn belongs to Azat Yermembetov and Murat Kudiyarbek. According to public sources, Yermembetov was a shareholder of Bank RBK in 2014, while Kudiyarbek serves as the CEO of Intertrans C.A.
