Project Description
The ALEM project aims to build a medical equipment manufacturing plant in Astana, Kazakhstan. The facility will produce innovative equipment for organ preservation and transportation, specifically for transplantation. The flagship product is a system that can keep donor organs viable for over 24 hours, which is a significant improvement over current methods that preserve organs for only 4-6 hours. This technology includes a mobile device to maintain the organ's viability, oxygenation, and monitoring of vital indicators in real-time. The factory will also produce consumables such as plastic containers, vacutainers, and drainage jars. The production capacity is planned at up to 10 million consumables per year. This local manufacturing project will reduce the cost of medical equipment by 5-6 times compared to foreign alternatives.
