This project involves the construction of a 50 MW combined-cycle (steam + gas) power plant in the village of Auliekol, Zhambyl District, Zhambyl Region, Kazakhstan. It is being developed by GES Myrzatai LLP with an investment of US$ 60 million. The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase is 50 MW, and the second will expand capacity by another 150 MW, bringing the total to 200 MW. Preparatory work has already been completed, including securing a 7-hectare land plot, engineering and hydrogeological surveys, drilling a 185-meter well, selecting a general contractor, and obtaining technical conditions for a gas connection. Approximately 500 specialists are expected to work during construction, and once operational, the plant will create about 80 permanent jobs. The plant is intended to strengthen energy infrastructure in southern Kazakhstan, boosting the region’s energy resilience and investment attractiveness.

GES Myrzatai LLP, founded in 2020, is owned by Serzhan Alimov (directly) and Kazakh Nantian Energy Limited, which in turn is owned by Auspicious Fly International Trade Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong), making part of the company foreign‑owned.
The project was publicly announced by Kazakh Invest during a press event.
Akim of Zhambyl Region attended the groundbreaking.
According to the project manager- Hou Chuanqun, all major preparatory work (surveys, well drilling, land acquisition) is already complete.
