On July 21, 2025, Qazaq Green Power PLC, together with Dutch Green Power Investment B.V., established the legal entity Sauran Solar Power LLP, in which the public company Qazaq Green Power PLC holds a 30% equity stake. The remaining 70% ownership interest belongs to Dutch Green Power Investment B.V.
Dutch Green Power Investment B.V. is listed in Dutch registry-derived sources under the ownership/management chain involving China Energy Overseas Investment (Hong Kong) Co., Limited and Dutch Future Investments B.V.
The project’s material requirements are significant and include 581,360 PV modules, 5,790 support structures, 72 km of 35 kV collector lines, 2 main transformers, and a large-scale BESS package.
The environmental document lists 1,192 tonnes of reinforcing steel and concrete volume stated as 3.5871 × 10,000 m³, which equals approximately 35,871 m³ if the document’s unit format is interpreted literally.
The document also lists earthworks / excavation as 142.2908 × 10,000 m³, equal to approximately 1,422,908 m³ under the same literal unit interpretation.
The project will require temporary construction facilities, including around 1,200 m² of temporary residential/office premises and around 2,000 m² of temporary processing/storage facilities.
Water supply for the construction stage is planned as delivered water: 4,320 m³/year for drinking/domestic needs and 240 m³/year for technical water used for dust suppression.
The environmental screening conclusion states that mandatory full environmental impact assessment is not required, and the project initiator must submit an environmental impact declaration to the relevant local executive body.
