Project Description
The Zhambyl Wind Farm is a major renewable energy initiative being developed in the Zhambyl Region of Kazakhstan. The project is co-owned and jointly implemented by China Power International Holding Ltd. (CPIH) and SANY Renewable Energy, with each holding an equal stake. It will have a total installed capacity of 1 GW and aims to support Kazakhstan's transition to green energy. Construction of the wind farm is scheduled to begin in 2025, with commissioning planned for 2027. As part of the broader initiative, SANY Renewable Energy will also build a factory in Shu District to produce essential wind turbine components such as nacelles, hubs, and towers. The component plant, with an investment of $114 million, is expected to launch by the end of 2025, boosting local industrial capacity.
