Total project cost is 12 billion KZT, making it the largest aquaculture investment in Kazakhstan to date.
Construction and installation work began in spring 2025, with the first sea cages deployed on 5 September 2025.
The project is currently in early operational ramp-up, with fry stocked and biological production started, but full infrastructure construction is not yet completed.
Full production capacity of 5,000 tons/year is planned for 2029, following gradual ramp-up over several years.
The project incorporates Norwegian-supplied cage technology and feeding systems, adapted to Caspian Sea conditions.
Strategic importance includes reducing import dependency on salmonids by approximately 60% and supporting national food security objectives.
