Environmental Focus: The project aims to produce alkylate — a clean-burning, high-octane gasoline component that meets Euro-5 standards, contributing to the reduction of harmful emissions and promoting cleaner fuel alternatives in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Strategic Importance: This is one of the first projects of its kind in Kazakhstan, playing a key role in the country’s goal to boost its petrochemical industry and reduce reliance on fuel imports.
Local Impact: The project is expected to create over 500 jobs during construction and about 125 permanent positions once operational, boosting the local economy of Pavlodar region.
According to Intertrans C.A. is constructing the plant and has signed a credit line agreement with the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. The company is owned by Arailym Khamitova and Prime Petrochemicals Ltd., which in turn belongs to Azat Yermembetov and Murat Kudiyarbek. According to public sources, Yermembetov was a shareholder of Bank RBK in 2014, while Kudiyarbek serves as the CEO of Intertrans C.A.
