The Aktau New Football Stadium project involves the construction of a modern football-specific arena designed to meet UEFA Category 4 standards, enabling the venue to host international football matches and major competitions. The stadium is planned to accommodate approximately 10,000 spectators and will become the primary professional football venue for the city and the Mangystau Region. The project was initiated by regional authorities to modernize sports infrastructure and support the development of football in western Kazakhstan. The arena is intended to replace the existing Zhastar Stadium, which currently hosts the local club but has limited capacity and infrastructure. The design concept includes a football-specific bowl with covered spectator stands and a distinctive roof structure. The stadium complex is also planned to include training facilities, a sports and rehabilitation center, and youth development infrastructure, including a football academy. Visual renderings indicate a modern oval stadium design with a lightweight roof covering the seating areas. The project was presented to regional authorities in early 2026 and subsequently reviewed for compliance with international stadium standards.
