The project involves construction of a large‑scale pet food manufacturing facility in the Almaty Region of Kazakhstan under an agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mars Petcare Kazakhstan LLP. It is part of national directives to develop Kazakhstan’s processing industry and enhance domestic production of high‑value goods. The facility will produce finished pet food products with an annual design capacity of about 100,000 tons, supplying both local and potential regional markets. The investment is expected to create approximately 200 jobs, with at least 85 % of positions allocated to Kazakh citizens, including associated training programs for workforce skills development. Construction and commissioning are planned to be completed by December 31, 2030, with operations starting January 1, 2031. The project aligns with broader goals to build a sustainable industrial base in the region and reduce dependence on imports of pet food products.
