The Komatsu Component Rebuild Center (CRC) is a strategic industrial facility under construction in Astana, Kazakhstan, intended to serve as the largest Komatsu service and component overhaul hub in Central Asia. The project focuses on full‑cycle repair, refurbishment, and testing of key components of heavy mining and construction equipment — including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical units. Its establishment is expected to significantly reduce equipment downtime and maintenance costs for mining and construction companies in the region. By localizing advanced rebuild capabilities, CRC aims to enhance reliability and service responsiveness for Komatsu machinery operating across Central Asia. The facility includes modern infrastructure compliant with international technical standards and is designed to generate new skilled jobs locally. The project brings together international investment from Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and technical support from Komatsu Ltd., aligning with Kazakhstan’s industrial service development goals. The center will support enhanced lifecycle performance of machinery while reducing dependency on distant overseas service hubs. The ground‑breaking ceremony was attended by representatives from Komatsu, Mitsui, the Japanese Embassy, and Kazakh government officials, indicating high institutional support.
